Fast Food Footprint

Fast food fotoprint, was a part of the exhibition Food Chains in Salo artmuseum 2011, the last part of a cross- artistic and -scientific environmental event. The theme 2011 was food and my contribution was maps showing the distance the ingredients has travelled for eight different fast food dishes served in Mariehamn. Colourful dots represents the ingredients and their plasement on the maps shows from where they have travelled. I hope my visualization of this information can generate an awareness of the consequences of our choices and our ecological footprints. I also wish this could raise an interest in locally and ecologically grown food.
