The Museo del Somaro,
is a project art-collection conceived by the artist Nello Teodori.
It has been inaugurated for the first time in his studio in Perugia in 1999, and now it will be presented in a new public location - a recently restored medieval building - in Gualdo Tadino (PG) Italy, and will be open to the public on Sunday 23rd September 2018.
The Somaro Museum is a tribute to this animal, a figure that deserves, for many good qualities, to be appreciated and better cared for. The articulated museum layout appears as a great metaphor, a multi-handed
affresco, a place to make question and reflect on the contradictions of human existence, where real values and qualities are often overwhelmed and humiliated ... like the donkey.
In the Somaro Museum there are about one hundred works by visual artists, but also contributions from the world of entertainment, literature, criticism, science and politics.
The artists who have joined the project are:
Paolo Portoghesi, Ninetto Davoli, Ugo La Pietra, Goffredo Fofi, Karin Andersen, Luca Maria Patella, Pino Modica, Lamberto Pignotti, Cesare Pietroiusti, Giovanni Fontana, Emilio Fantin, Gabriele Perretta, Giancarlo Norese, Pier Paolo Coro, Stefano Fontana, Michele Mariano, Pablo Echaurren, Enrico Bentivoglio, Anton Roca, I Santini del Prete, Pasquale Cassandro, Mario Consiglio, Michel Gueranger, Paolo Fabiani, Angelo Ricciardi, Vincenzo Rusciano, Antonio Picardi, Isabella e Tiziana Pers, Giorgio Lupattelli, Raffaele Iannello, Mario Volpi, Giulia Piscitelli, Antonella Mazzoni, Tommaso Tozzi, Roberto Giacomucci, Simone Armelani, Ciro Ricciardi, Gianluca Rosso, Marco Vaglieri, Jack Sal, Armando Tomassoli, Eduardo Alamaro, Rita Vitali Rosati, Matteo Fraterno, Lucia Angeloni, Claude Appaldo, Pino Boresta, Brigata ES, Sergio Calatroni, Dario Carmentano, Giovanni Surace, Lia Pantani, Ivano Vitali, Giovanni Mengoni, Antonio Di Pietro, Franco Fiorillo, Luigi Baggi, Rosa Foschi, Enzo Storelli, Giorgia Ǵǵ, Teodolo Manganelli, Roberto Fugnanesi, Barbara Stefani, Lello Ruggiero, Luciano Ghersi, Mala Arti Visive, Marino Guerritore, Francesco Impellizzeri, Fabrizio Modesti, Patrizia Landi, Maria Sanchez Puyade, Paolo Lumini, Ruggero Maggi, Ada Marcheggiani, Laura Palmieri, Aroldo Marinai, Ferdinando Mazzitelli, Maria Grazia Fiorucci, Claudio Parrini, Gianni Pedullà, Remo Giombini, Liviana Morelli, Raffaele Romano, Roberto Cascone, Mari Iodice, Giovanna Nigi, Mario Pisani, Stefano Peressini, Mimmo Pianese, Luciano Tittarelli, Gruppo Sinestetico, Rapini, Paolo Ravalico Scerri, Salvatore Attanasio Avitabile, Franco Troiani, Aldo Sartori, Marcello Minelli, Piergiuseppe Pesce, Fausto Paci, Nello Teodori, Manuela Corti, Elio Licata, Michele Zappia, Gianni Actis Barone, Isabella Ceccarelli, Giovanni Strada, Elisa Vladilo, Sati, Marilde Mazzacrelli, Samuele Discepoli.
