The first important appointment of the project / little constellation / a vision of contemporary art in geo-cultural micro-areas and small states of Europe will attend in Milan.
The international network for contemporary art /little constellation/ was born from the idea of two artists of San Marino, Rita Canarezza & Pier Paolo Coro with the support of the Foundation San Marino, the indispensable collaboration of the Social and Cultural Activities Office, which was also recently added to the help of Ente Cassa di Faetano, and with the sponsorship of the Department of Culture, Department of Sport and Free Time, Department of Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Identity of the City of Milan, for the creation and the spread of projects especially attentive to the artistic research in small states of Europe, Andorra, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino and some micro geo-cultural realities of the European markets including Canton Ticino (CH), Ceuta (ES), Gibraltar (UK), Kaliningrad (RUS).
The realization of the exhibition /little constellation/ is the need to give a concrete vision of the research project, artistic operation itself; the meeting of more than 20 artists from the countries concerned, with the support of many of its cultural institutions, the involvement of Milan and two of the most important realities for the promotion of contemporary art as Careof DOCVA and Documentation Center for Visual Arts, is definitely a shift towards new strategies of cooperation and sharing of international contemporary art.
The conference will be introduced by the Head of Culture of Milan Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, which will be
followed by a brief speech of the Consul of San Marino in Milan, Sergio Dompè and some greetings from
Mara Valentini Coordinator of the Department of Culture and Gemma Cavalleri director of the Office of Social and Cultural Activities of San Marino.
Followed by speeches of critical and curatorial presentation of:
_ Roberto Daolio contemporary art critic, curator of the exhibition / little constellations/ and supervisor of the project
_ Friedemann Malsch Director Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, supervisor of the project
_ Svetlana Racanović independent curator of Montenegro (former curator of the pavilion of Montenegro
Venice Biennale in 2005), project’s supervisor
_ Alessandro Castiglioni curator, assistant curator of the project /little constellation/
_ Mario Gorni director of Careof DOCVA
_ Edoardo Bonasperti and Carlotta Poli, Mousse publisher who is responsible of the publication /little constellation/
