… is a collection of notes, the tale of a journey that roamed through various regions of Europe with the goal of developing a perspective on the state of art, the practice of travel, and the perception of distance, in specific geographical areas. The project grew out of the Little Constellation network, a research project based on the activity of artists Rita Canarezza and Pier Paolo Coro, aimed at exploring contemporary artistic practice
in the small states of Europe and in certain geocultural micro-areas: San Marino, Luxembourg, and Iceland, as well as Milan, Malta, and Genoa, are some of the stops
along the way, in an initiative that has attempted to focus, in particular, on the aesthetic question of the experience of travel. Activities such as lectures, workshops, round tables, and above all, the exhibition held at Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce in Genoa, have helped to establish specific positions in regard to these issues.(...)
