The Prize was created in memory of Roberto Daolio and his sensitivity as a national ad international artistic curator, his passionate work as a teacher at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Bologna and his rare ability to recognise and cultivate the signs of the new, which made him an irreplaceable figure and one whose precious achievements are present in the works of so many artists. The Prize was aimed at the students of the Accademia di Belle Arti of Bologna for a project of public art, a field to which Roberto Daolio devoted most of his commitment in the last fifteen years since he preferred it as an educational form of art focused on the interpretation of and intervention in public spaces not specifically dedicated to art. The Prize offers a scholarship as desired by Daolio’s family and a journey to Iceland thanks to the Little Constellation Network of the Republic of San Marino, with which Daolio collaborated in the last years of his life.

The first prize in cash was awarded to the project Viva Voce, conceived by Gabriella Presutto, with Simona Paladino, Barbara Baroncini, Laura Bisotti. The second prize, a two-week journey at the SÍM of Reykiavik offered by Little Constellation Network - Contemporary art in geo-cultural micro-areas and the Small States of Europe, with which Roberto Daolio had a close collaboration in the last years of his life, was awarded to the project Che cos’č per voi l’abitare? by Mimě Enna.
