“Lucomorye”

The title “Lucomorye” refers to a fictional land in Russian folklore and fairytales. “Lucomorye”
was depicted in a number of antique maps of Siberia/Muscovy since the 16th century,
transforming them into subjective ones. The semi-transparent pages disappear and
simultaneously reveal a journey of an immigrant/alien/stranger looking for “another land” and
“another happiness”. Questioning the identity, the roots and the memories.
